A counselor to presidents, senators and governors, George has made more judges in California over the last decade than anyone else.  Although he is Republican, California’s Democratic senators seek his advice on bench appointments; so does Gov. Arnold Schwarzenneger.

George also has a thriving litigation practice that has made him a go-to person for tough cases.

It’s risky to go before a jury, call your client rude and point out his short temper, but George did just that in his May closing statements on behalf of CNET Networks Inc. founder Halsey Minor.  The two-week trial ended in May with an $8.57 million win for Minor against Christie’s Inc. for artwork Minor consiged to the auction house.  The past year has also been good to the firm’s overall appellate practice, George says.
